XLManager is an Excel-based utility that administers the various toolboxes that are offered through SpreadsheetWorld, Inc. Each of the toolboxes are essentially advanced add-ins for Excel consisting of useful wizards and computational functions used to solve problems in engineering, finance, accounting, and many other disciplines. Normally, Excel add-ins utilizing advanced features such as online help files, dynamic link libraries, and full-featured menus and toolbars would require an extensive amount of setup on the part of the user.

The XLManager serves to make these issues transparent to the user while still allowing the full power of the Excel spreadsheet to be realized. The XLManager is installed on a user’s system using a single executable (*.exe) setup file for any 32-bit version of Windows. Once installed the XLManager interfaces directly with Excel to control the installation and removal of the SpreadsheetWorld toolboxes and also provides a number of useful features to the Excel spreadsheet.
The XLManager is designed specifically for the purpose of making complex, spreadsheet-based tools easily accessible to spreadsheet users around the globe. It provides an integrated platform that greatly simplifies the process of distributing Excel add-ins that interface with dynamic link libraries, online help files, external applications, etc. The XLManager is capable of administering add-ins that are associated with up to 90 supporting files and is also capable of controlling complex menu/toolbar structures that may be required by the add-in.
